These terms govern your use of Centralmail, the free email service provided by Transcom. By creating or using a Centralmail address, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Centralmail is operated by Transcom (Concorde House, Margaret Street, Brighton BN2 1TS, United Kingdom; UK company registration 2828342). In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Transcom, and "you" means the account holder. These terms form a binding agreement between you and us.
Centralmail is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uptime, delivery, speed, storage, or backups. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.
You choose an address on one of our domains and are responsible for your password and for all activity under your account. You must provide a valid recovery email address. Storage is limited (currently 1 GB per mailbox) and we may enforce quotas and fair-use limits. Accounts are for individual use; automated or bulk sending is not permitted without our prior written consent.
You must not use Centralmail to:
We operate a zero-tolerance policy on spam and abuse. Every message is filtered, in and out, by our MxGuard system.
We may also block, delay, filter, quarantine, or refuse any message at any time, and we may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities and disclose information as required by law.
We do not monitor, review, endorse, or control the content that is sent, received, or stored through Centralmail. All content is entirely your responsibility.
Because the service is free, we give no guarantee of availability, delivery, or retention, and we do not guarantee backups. We may delete inactive or closed accounts. We are not liable for any loss of email, data, or access, however caused.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Transcom and its officers, employees, and suppliers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, business, or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of, or inability to use, Centralmail — even if advised of the possibility. As the service is free, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed £0 (nil). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (such as for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud).
You agree to indemnify and hold Transcom harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or demand, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the service, your content, or your breach of these terms.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and — in the case of spam or abuse — without notice. You may stop using the service at any time. On termination, your mailbox and all associated data may be permanently deleted.
Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy. All mail is filtered automatically by MxGuard, in and out.
We may update these terms at any time. The current version is always published on this page, and your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of it.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
