Getting started

Set up your Centralmail

Use Centralmail in your browser, or connect it to any mail app — your phone, Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, anything that supports IMAP. Everything below uses your full email address as the username and your mailbox password.

🌐Webmail — nothing to install

The quickest way in — works on any device with a browser.

  1. Go to mail.centralmail.co.uk
  2. Enter your full address (e.g. you@geomail.uk) and your password.
  3. That's it — read and send mail straight away.

⚙️Settings at a glance (any mail app)

If your app asks for manual/IMAP settings, use these. Server name is the same for incoming and outgoing.

Incoming mail — IMAP

Servermail.centralmail.co.uk
Port993
SecuritySSL / TLS
Usernameyour full email address
Passwordyour mailbox password

Outgoing mail — SMTP

Servermail.centralmail.co.uk
Port465
SecuritySSL / TLS (or 587 = STARTTLS)
AuthenticationRequired — same username & password
Prefer POP instead of IMAP? Use mail.centralmail.co.uk, port 995, SSL/TLS. IMAP is recommended so your mail stays in sync across devices.

📱iPhone & iPad (Apple Mail)

  1. Open SettingsMailAccountsAdd Account.
  2. Tap OtherAdd Mail Account.
  3. Enter your name, your full address (you@geomail.uk), your password, and a description. Tap Next.
  4. Make sure IMAP is selected at the top.
  5. Under Incoming Mail Server — Host Name: mail.centralmail.co.uk, Username: your full address, Password: your password.
  6. Under Outgoing Mail Server — Host Name: mail.centralmail.co.uk, and enter the same username and password (it may say "optional" — fill it in anyway).
  7. Tap Next, then Save. iOS verifies the settings and you're done.

📧Outlook (Windows / Mac)

  1. FileAdd Account (or Outlook → Settings → Accounts on Mac).
  2. Type your full address (you@geomail.uk). If Outlook offers "Advanced setup" / "Let me set up manually", choose it, then pick IMAP.
  3. Incoming (IMAP): Server mail.centralmail.co.uk, Port 993, Encryption SSL/TLS.
  4. Outgoing (SMTP): Server mail.centralmail.co.uk, Port 465, Encryption SSL/TLS (or port 587 with STARTTLS).
  5. Username is your full email address; enter your password.
  6. Finish — Outlook connects and syncs your inbox.

🤖Android & Thunderbird (and everything else)

  1. Add a new account and choose IMAP (or "Other"/"Manual setup").
  2. Enter your full address and password.
  3. Incoming: mail.centralmail.co.uk · port 993 · SSL/TLS.
  4. Outgoing: mail.centralmail.co.uk · port 465 SSL/TLS (or 587 STARTTLS) · authentication on.
  5. Save. Most apps auto-verify and start syncing.
Trouble sending? Make sure the outgoing server has authentication turned on with the same username and password as incoming — that's the most common mistake.
